10. Iceland Volcanic Eruptions:

In the past three years, the Reykjanes peninsula near the town of Grindavik has experienced frequent eruptions after being dormant for over 800 years. On December 18th, the most recent occurred near the 4,000-person town of the previously evacuated Grindavik, and the closure of the nearby world-famous Blue Lagoon. Unlike the previous three eruptions, this one is not "tourist-friendly," and visitors are urged to stay away from the area. So far international air travel at nearby Keflavik airport has not been affected. Here is an article with more information.
